7 July 2012 / Tropo opening on 144
Mhz Again, like yesterday, a
nice Tropospheric ducting above the Atlantic Ocean. I worked CT3 and EA8
stations !! Still with my simple ½ wave dipole out of the window, on a
fishing rod + 30 W ! 19:14 >> EA8CEQ 55 SSB IL18CP – 1377 km (20:50 >> EA8TJ IL18RJ – 1301 km Heard only) |
6 July 2012 / Tropo opening on 144
Mhz A nice Tropospheric ducting above the Atlantic Ocean. I have been worked
by several EA8 stations. This time my simple ½ wave dipole was out of
the window, 17:40 >> EA8TX 57 SSB IL18QI – 1310 km 17:45 >> EA8TJ 57 SSB IL18RJ – 1301 km 19:30 >> EA8CSG 55 SSB IL18PI -1316 Km 20:00 >> EA8AVI 59 SSB IL28FC - 1252 Km |
4 July 2012 / Two E-sporadic openings on 144 Mhz While
driving home after
the job, I saw this opening should « hit » my
qth. So I quickly made
a simple vertical dipole that I taped on the window, and wit my 30 w, I made 2
QSO(in FM + SSB) before it ends. Later, it opens a 2nd time, and I
worked again G4LOH Tim, 1 hour 30 after our 1st QSO !!! No other
stations
heard in Es, except ZB2B and EA7 via Tropo. 1st opening: 2nd opening: 19:22 >> G4LOH 59 SSB IO70JC – 1594 km |
JT6M QSO made from Tanger on 6m band (50Mhz) During low Es openings
on 6m, (mostly when nothing was heard in ssb/cw), I worked several stations,
via this « scatter-Iono » mode. Only 50w on the ½ wave 17m/band
dipole was used.
