Lately I’ve been getting back into online poker after a long break, and it feels like a different world now. So many new platforms, tools, and play styles. Anyone else playing regularly these days? Curious if it's still worth the grind.

Yeah, online poker’s definitely evolved. GTO strategies are pretty much the norm now, and HUDs are everywhere unless you're on apps that ban them. Also, the player pool feels softer on mobile-focused platforms. If you're brushing up, this article on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Online_poke gives a good overview of how the landscape has changed.

Totally agree. The meta has shifted big time. I used to 4-table on Stars, but now I’m mostly on mobile apps or the occasional anonymous table. Less grinding, more value in just picking good spots. Are you playing tournaments or sticking to cash?

Mostly MTTs, but I sprinkle in a few cash tables when I have time. The variance is brutal though. Do you guys use any solvers or training tools? I’ve been testing GTO Wizard, but not sure how much it’s helping at my current level.

GTO Wizard is solid, but I’d say it pays off more once you’re already playing at mid-stakes. If you’re still at micros or small stakes, exploitative play tends to yield better ROI. Also, this site I bookmarked a while ago has some promos and freerolls that come in handy https://sweepstakesnetherlands.com/promocode/ . Worth checking now and then.

Thanks for that, actually looks useful. Freerolls can be a chill way to warm up or test stuff without real downside. Also agree about sticking to exploitative lines early on — too many people still donk-bet and snap-call with bottom pair.

Yeah, no kidding. Still amazed at how many call off with queen-high in spots where it's never good. Might give freerolls a go again, haven’t played those in years. What platforms do you guys prefer right now?

I rotate between GG and a couple of app-based clubs. GG’s good for volume, but the rake eats you alive unless you're deep-running. Clubs are better for softer games if you don’t mind the occasional shady UI.

Same here. I just stick to games where I know the players or have a track record. And if you're running up a decent bankroll, always make sure withdrawals are smooth. Nothing worse than crushing a final table and waiting days to get paid.
